For a sewing desk with actual drawers, consider Sew Ready Eclipse Ultra 13376. Its three cloth drawers sit beside a machine platform, but the full table is 60.25 inches wide. Comet Plus 13372 takes less width and has one fabric bin with shelves. An IRIS 585009 six-drawer cart adds separate storage to an existing desk; it is not a machine-supporting sewing table.

Eclipse Ultra: drawers beside the machine

The Eclipse platform measures 23 × 10.75 inches. Compare that rectangle with the machine’s base, then check its height adjustment and how the machine bed meets the surrounding top. A platform that accepts the base does not automatically create a flush sewing surface for every machine.

The 13376 assembly instructions identify separate limits for the top, platform, shelves and drawers. Do not treat the main desktop’s rating as a drawer or machine-platform rating. Cloth drawers suit small supplies, rather than assuming they can carry the machine when stored.

The 9.5-inch folding extension reduces width when lowered, but the 50.75-inch main top remains. Measure with the extension raised if that is how you sew. You also need access to drawers, a chair, the pedal and fabric feeding behind the needle.

Comet Plus: smaller footprint, different storage

Comet Plus has the same published 23 × 10.75-inch machine-platform size, a narrower main worktop and a 9.5-inch extension. Its one fabric bin is a meaningful compromise if three drawers will not fit. Check where the fabric travels and whether the shelf/bin arrangement leaves your legs and pedal comfortable.

Do not assume a narrower top is better for large quilts: fabric falling from an unsupported edge can pull on the seam. Plan an adjacent support surface if that is your main work.

IRIS: beside a desk, not beneath every desk

At 37.8 inches high, this exact IRIS cart is taller than the two tables above. It cannot be called an under-desk solution for their roughly 30-inch height. Place it alongside the station and include drawer-opening clearance in the room plan. Its wheels provide storage mobility, not evidence that its top safely supports a sewing machine.

Make a floor plan before buying

Mark the main top and raised extension on the floor with tape. Add chair movement and space to open storage. Measure the machine base and the tallest spool/attachment configuration, and keep cables clear of the pedal path. Count tools by shape: long shears, rulers and thread cones need different storage from bobbins and hand needles.

Choose Eclipse Ultra when its three drawers and working width fit; choose Comet Plus when its smaller top and single-bin arrangement are enough.
